Many would have you believe that selling on auction sites is the only way to go. Certainly it cannot be argued that there are many people making good secondary incomes or even staggering six figure salaries from selling everything under the sun. The reality for most, however, is very different.
To really cut it in the auction game you have to work very hard for the money. Imagine the typical day of an auction work at home guy.
Get up, log on to email and start printing lots of shipping forms. Then there is all the packing of the hundred odd items on which these packing labels are going followed by a visit to the post office and alot of standing around in a queue.
It's now lunchtime sat at the computer catching up on complaints from people who thought the item was supposed to be blue and not black. Followed by dreaming up countless witty feedback messages to leave for all the buyers of your dog chew toy and to encourage them to come back and buy some more some day and leave you good feedback.
The afternoon swings by and your stock of dog chew toys is running low and you have to get in touch with those guys in China to get a whole heap more sent round to your house and pile them in your garage. You try to forget the daily nags from your loved ones to move this junk as you try and remind yourself that you are making a living out of it.
Then you realise that because the last lot of wholesalers took your money and ran you need to pay your home bills from your business account. This will leave you short for buying new stock and with no stock there is no profit for next month. Game over.
So what would you say if I told you there is a work at home business which can earn you probably as much as auction selling, or more, without any of the pitfalls?
There is such a business and believe it or not it makes some people very good money simply by sending out emails. It's called mailing list marketing.
Think about it for a minute. Emails cost nothing to produce and reproduce, nothing to send, take up no physical space and can be fully automated. In one stroke all the auction selling problems are knocked clean away.

What can be said is that there is a widely recognised, proven system used by many internet marketers to develop lists of willing email subscribers hungry to hear the latest news on a wide variety of subjects and willing to pay handsomely for information which can change their lives. Information which is free to produce and free to distribute.
The key to success with mailing lists is building a relationship with your readership where they trust your every word and desperately want to buy information which only you can supply.
Learn to master that and you will probably have the best work at home internet business there is going.
