Making the Future Count! Work From Home Based Business Success

Have you ever wished that you could do something other than "work for the man?" I think we all have from time to time but for many of us it is just too uncertain and we just are not willing to take the "risk" involved. BUT..what about the uncertainty of the times with down sizing and lay offs and even companies closing! My brother in law has been with a huge corporation since he graduated high school some 20+ years ago and has been very successful BUT each year and sometimes several times a year, he is threatened with the loss of his job. This company is one of the largest manufactures in the IT world but they are letting people go on a monthly basis.

Just yesterday he told us that he just got a 6% raise! That is great right... however his next sentence was, "but when I return to work after the 1st, they could also say...your job is gone!" Happy New Year! Now what security is that? And this threat is ever constant for him. He told us that some of the people they have let go over the course of the last several months have now been brought back but...they are temps with no benefits at all! They are hired through a staffing agency and their pay is 1/2 of what it used to be with no insurance, no retirement...NOTHING...just working for the "man" and making "him" richer!

This nation is hurting and the job market is not looking good in so many places. People risk loosing their homes and other possessions. There are many families hurting during this Christmas season. Can you imagine having children at home and not even being able to buy them a small Christmas gift? As a parent, that pain runs deep! Why not begin today to position yourself for a secure future? By building a legitimate home based business with an incredible company you CAN! Life can be very uncertain and I for one want to have some control over my future. I have worked for one of the top Fortune 500 companies...but was still "owned"! Now I work for myself with my own very successful and legitimate home based business. If you are tired of being uncertain about your future and thus the future of your family, look at your choices. Make a difference in 2009 by building your legitimate home based business on the internet and begin to secure your future.

Your Home Business – Tips For Home Based Business Success

Home Based Business Tips For Entrepreneurs

There are more people who want to start a home-based business than there are hours in a day. A home-based business is a great way for anyone to contribute to their household. For stay-at-home parents, or people who aren’t able to get out of the house, a home-based business can provide a sense of satisfaction, as well as a professional outlet. It takes more than a great desire and a great idea to run a successful home-based business, though. There are common mistakes that all would-be home-based CEOs make, and it’s important to be aware of them and avoid them.

Here are some lessons learned from other home-based entrepreneurs:

1. No entrepreneur is an island. Yes, you’re the CEO of your home-based business. But you still need some support. Research and find professional organizations to join; other members can provide great tips and moral support. Professional organizations are a great way to network and learn more about others’ experiences with your target market.

2. No entrepreneur knows it all. You have to have appropriate training in running a home business. There are tax-deductions, record keeping, and general accountability practices that can’t be a mystery to you. The more training you have, the more success you’ll have at the mechanics of running a home-based business.

3. No entrepreneur should be a novice in their field. Don’t start a business that deals with a subject matter you’re unfamiliar with. Just like training, experience is key. If you don’t have any, you’re adding another unknown variable to your formula for success. Become an expert in your field so you can run your business smoothly.

4. No entrepreneur loses hope. Take the time to train and become an expert and don’t lose confidence in yourself. In the age of instant gratification, it’s important to have patience. Don’t expect instant, huge results. Trust yourself, your training, and your plan.

Home Based Business Success - Short And Sweet

by: Jeff Pritchard

When an EMT is bringing a dying patient into the Emergency Room, the doctor that meets him might say "Give me the bullet". A euphemism for "we don't have time for small talk or a lot of questions, tell me everything I need to know and be quick about it". This article has to be short, so here comes the bullet.

My website will show you a very smart way to take some area of knowledge or interest you have and create a website that carefully targets the specific nuances of that subject that offer the greatest potential for profit. Further, it includes a means to very quickly and easily dump your knowledge into what I like to call an "online business creation tool" that cranks out a high traffic website with the absolute minimum of time and effort.

The method involves being very smart about how people use search engines, very smart about search engine optimization (designing a website to rank highly with search engines to increase traffic), very smart about other traffic strategies, and very smart about turning the resulting traffic into money in your bank account.

It also involves being very smart about gathering everything that goes into creating this kind of a business into one place, and hiding it's power and all of the technology needed to put it there from the end user -- you. So, all you have to know is your subject (it can be absolutely anything that people search for on the internet), and you need to know precisely zero about the huge pile of technology that is needed to make a business on the Net succeed.

I'm a retired Software Engineer. I know internet technology inside and out, and like a welder who stands before a remarkable skyscraper and truly appreciates the steel that makes it stand there, I am awed by how this method simplifies the process of building a website, tweaking it to within an inch of it's life to get the most out of the search engines, doing all the right things to get it noticed and ranking high in the search engines, and setting up the necessary "monetization" strategies to pull in money with that traffic.

Before I came accross this method, I started three different online ventures, and all of them failed. Not for any technical reason, but simply because I didn't do the right things from a business standpoint to rake in the money. I had fancy pages that used CGI scripts and php and server side includes and the whole works...and none of it brought in any money.

Now though, I use this fabulous gadget called SiteSell to create my web businesses, and sit back and marvel at all the great stuff that I know is going on behind the curtain. Does it bother me not to be writing HTML code and hooking it to an SQL database and on and on...nope, I have another non-profit website for that sort of fun. Will it bother you not to be wallowing around down in the depths of the internet technology that you are controlling from the easy chair...I doubt it, especially after the checks start coming.

Home Based Business Success - A Predictor of Success Why do Many People Fail While Others Succeed.

by: Nick A. James

The following was taken from a conversation I had with a very successful individual in the Network Marketing business, and this also echoes my own personal observations.

I have been involved in this business for a number of years and I have seen people come and go from literally all walks of life, education levels, backgrounds, etc. I have worked with medical doctors, engineers, scientists and people who were only a step above being illiterate.

And while certain skills are beneficial, none are a predictor of success. But I can tell you what is the biggest predictor of success, and also in many cases a predictor of failure. I am never 100 percent right - if I was I would put everything I have in the Stock Market, however one thing has always stuck out with me. You see I did an in depth analysis several years ago now (consulting a number of successful people) of what made some people successful and what made others basically quit or fail.

And here is what I determined to be true in almost all cases. And this in my observation doesn't just apply to people in this industry but successful people everywhere. The people who were successful simply were going to figure out a way to make their business work.

They believed they were going to be successful.

They weren't about to accept no as an answer. No matter how many times they heard "No" or failed they got back up and kept on going. It didn't matter how much they knew or how much experience they had they simply weren't going to fail. Failure was not an option, if one thing didn't work they would try something else.

It really comes down to heart. Heart is what kept Michael Jordon going after being cut from his High School basketball team as a sophomore. Heart is what kept Sylvester Stallone going after being flat broke and having his Rocky script rejected time and time again. All great men and women have the heart it takes to just try again one more time.

Of course the big advantage I feel many people today have is that they can rely on our experience so they don't repeat our mistakes. And there are many more tools available today to help someone succeed than ever before.

I believe the one main reason franchises are so successful today is because of the large investment involved. First the entry price commitment of $50,000 to a half million dollars or more weeds out all the tire kickers and non-serious people. Second with that kind of investment someone is not going to give up easily.

There is no doubt in my mind that for the right person a home business is so much more superior to a franchise it ain't even funny. The investment is a mere peanuts compared to a franchise and you aren't tied down to your business such that you can't go on vacation. If need be you can just take your business with you to whatever hotel you are staying in.

Plus for the same amount of work you can easily earn more than a franchise - keep in mind you are going to spend 80-100 hours per week working your franchise business the first year or so. And you may need two stores to make a good living.

The point is anybody, no matter what their background can succeed in the right home business, provided they have the desire and good mentors.

Home Based Business Success -Separating Ourselves From the Competition

by: Nick A. James

It's really not hard to be successful. (Although it does require having some guts and not being lazy.) Simply be willing to do what most people aren't. You've seen the ads "Make big money- No selling, no telephone calling, no work, etc". The point is if you really want to stand out from the crowd and be very successful, then do the things other people won't. Think about how little competition you will have.

I have been involved working in home businesses for over 10 years now and one thing has stood out in my mind. When I looked at people in this business who were very successful they weren't supermen or women. Oh sure a few have stood out with better skills then average, but for the most part they are relatively average people with one main characteristic. Each one has been successful because they were willing to do things the crowd wasn't willing to do.

It's an amazing feeling of confidence you get when you are willing to do things you are afraid to do. Sure you may be scared at first to pick up that phone and call someone but it gives you an amazing feeling of confidence after you do.

Have you ever noticed the most successful people also seem to be the most confident. Not necessarily in an obnoxious ego way (although some are), but in a way that you just sense something is different about them.

Some people mistakenly think that people are confident because they are successful. They say, "I would also be confident if I were successful!" However, people who think like that are wrong, those people became successful, because they were confident first and believed they would be successful. I have yet to meet the first person born successful.

You want to be confident and successful? Step out from the crowd and take on those exciting challenges that others are afraid to take. That's why the crowd at 65 is living on Social Security instead of the few who are cruising the Caribbean on a regular basis. It's a lot less crowded out there.

Home Based Business Success and the Power of Belief

by: Nick A. James

There was well over one million searches last month on the internet for home businesses. This means numerous people either aren’t happy where they’re at – they need more money or they want to be home raising their kids.

Think about it – people are either working so hard to pay the bills that they can’t slow down and enjoy life or they struggle to pay the bills and thus their life is stress and endless worry. Look at all the home foreclosures each month – it’s unbelievable.

However, while most people really want what a successful home business has to offer they usually aren’t prepared to make that a reality.

Let’s talk here about belief – all great accomplishments start with a seed of belief. But for that seed of belief to grow into a great accomplishment it needs a lot of water and nourishment – especially at first.

The key is to nourish that seed of belief so it grows – that seed of belief is very vulnerable at first – it can easily die as it has no roots.

Right after someone has started a home business is when it’s most vulnerable. Your brother in law Butch will say – are you some kind of moron – those home business things don’t work – my cousins Clem and Jethro didn’t make a dime in the entire 2 hours they spent working. Of course who’s to doubt a business giant like Butch – after all he just advanced to the rank of assistant night supervisor at the Quickmart after 7 short years.

Are you on fire? I heard a preacher once say – are you on fire? Or are you trying to put out someone else’s fire.

If you’re not on fire – I mean a raging fire what happens to a tiny flicker of flame – it easily goes out with the first wind.

However, a raging fire doesn’t go out with the first wind – actually when the winds blow it just serves to make the fire grow even hotter. You can go away and that fire will continue to burn where you planted it.

Actually we are all one of the following three types of people, which one of these are you.

People that make things happen People that get on board with those who make things happen and People like Butch that wonder – what happened.

As a kid why did you never have trouble getting up on Christmas morning? Two reasons really – because you knew that something really good was going to happen to you. But two you had an unshakeable belief that there would be presents under the tree. Hence the great excitement and anticipation thus creating a great positive attitude.

The secret is extraordinary people are excited to get up everyday and so should we. By believing something great will happen each day we bring together unseen forces to help us. Plus this attitude attracts the right people to aid us in accomplishing great things.

Anybody can get excited over something good that’s a sure deal – like Christmas. However, what separates the extraordinary from the ordinary are those who have the vision to see what others can’t see in the future and take action.

There are two roads in life. One is a very broad and paved road and the amazing thing about this road is that you don’t have to look for it or have directions to find it. By simply doing nothing it will find you and in 40 years or less on this giant freeway it will take you to the twin over-populated cities of Regret and Failure.

On the other hand there is another much harder to find road as it’s simply a bare unmarked trail at the beginning and many people walk past it everyday without noticing. But once in a while to the weary, searching traveler it opens up a glimpse of the great vision it contains waiting at trails end.

The great thing about being on this second road is you meet other travelers who make traveling easier and considerably much more fun.

Everyone on this road sees something fascinatingly different “on down the road.” Walt Disney saw Disneyland and Epcot Center on this road. Orville and Wilbur Wright could see the future of air travel. Henry Ford could see a nation of automobiles. Our founding fathers could see a land of free men in a country that was the greatest land of freedom of opportunity the world had ever known.

So if you dare we invite you to take this path on the “Journey of No Regrets.” Where the hardest step is always the first.

Do You Have The Right Stuff For Home Based Business Success?

by: Kirk Bannerman

Have you ever wondered if people that are successful in home based businesses share some common characteristics and, if so, what are the primary ones?

The dictionary defines successful as:

*having a favorable outcome, or
*having obtained something desired or intended, or
*having achieved wealth or eminence

When applied to a home business, I think the definition of the word successful involves a combination of financial gain, time flexibility, and being able to call your own shots (being your own boss). The order of importance will vary from person to person.

I have had the good fortune to be quite successful with home-based internet businesses. No, that is not completely accurate, I have had success because I have invested a lot of sweat equity in my work at home business activities.

Having spent many years in the corporate world, I am a firm believer in the team aspect of business and so I naturally gravitated toward network marketing instead of trying to go solo selling products/services and competing with the big players like Yahoo, Amazon and the other well known names.

After doing considerable research, I found a very well established and financially solid internet-based company to work with. Using my business experience in the "offline world" and developing my internet marketing skills on the fly in an OJT (aka: on-the-job-training) format, things have gone very well and I recently spent some time trying to identify some of the primary traits that are common in my most successful team members.

Whether you're breeding bird dogs, or race horses, or drafting college football players to play in the NFL...it's important to develop "markers" that can be very useful in predicting success. >From my offline, traditional, business experience I have known this from the get-go, but for some reason I was slow to learn (or, was it re-learn?) that identifying the people with a high likelihood of success is even more important when developing an online network marketing business that depends upon teamwork.

Reflecting back on many of the truly successful people I have worked with in network marketing, I made a list of the numerous success factors that emerged when I assessed each person individually. After compiling the list, three factors seemed to stand out as being the most common success indicators. In no particular order, these factors were:

*approaching the business with a long term perspective. It takes a lot of time to become an "overnight success"

*exhibiting the tenacity of a pit bull

*being able to ride the emotional roller coaster (two steps forward and one step back) in the early stages of developing the business

Just because a person has these characteristics, it does not ensure success and, on the flip side, a person is not necessarily doomed to failure just because he or she does not possess them all.

The Amazing 7 Lost Secrets Of Home Based Business Success

by: Rasheed Ali

Are you frustrated or downright-fed up with all of the hoopla about having a home based business?

Well once upon a time, I was too!

So much in fact that I almost threw in the towel and called it quits.

I mean when I really got into learning how to start and build a home based business, I found all of these snake-oil peddlers who were just selling me B.S. product and services that were either useless, unnecessary or the latest money-making gimmick.

I have to admit though, I didn’t really understand at the time what was happening so I spent thousands upon thousands of dollars on things that just never worked for me.

So one day I said to myself, “STOP buying all that crap and start learning the real secrets!”

You see, I came from a long line of entrepreneurs and having that mind-set had helped me over come being homeless and abused.

So once that thought stuck in my mind things began to change.

It was only then that I uncovered the truth about how to successfully start, build and profit from my own home based internet business!

Man…was I happy when I finally made my first sale and then my first 100 sales and then I started acquiring high-end clients and it was all done on autopilot.

Heck, I was asleep most of the time when I made any money!

Now the secrets that I’m about to share are just 7 among hundreds of secrets that I could share but, these are what I like to call the “Critical 7.”

Here are the “Amazing 7 Lost Secrets Of Home Business Success”:

1. Passion: You MUST find a topic that you have a passion or interest for. If you can’t find one look for something that others are passionate about solving. In other words, if there is a desire or a need that a person has to solve this issue (a market), you can easily tap into this market and make money with it.

Now if you already have a home business that you’re passionate about then you should look for this element in your market as well. Remember this… Passion = Profits! Forget what you’ve heard because I’ve mentored many people over the years and the most successful one all had this in common.

2. Persuasion: The next secret is learning how to persuade! Yes, this is step two because understanding how to persuade in person or in print will catapult you to the heights of success so fast you won’t even know where the fame and fortune came from. Many of the most successful people in the world are masters of this one skill. You must use this skill with the highest degree of business ethics.

Notice how politicians quickly become lower than garbage when they persuade well and then don’t deliver? Two GREAT books on this topic are “Persuasion: The Art Of Getting What You Want” by Dave Lakhani, and “Influence – “The Psychology of Persuasion” by Robert B. Cialdini.

3. Copywriting: The next secret is one that many successful home businesses have in common. Or rather their owners have in common. It is the skill that has been coined, “the most lucrative skill on the planet!” When you learn how to write persuasive copy, (your persuasion studies will come in handy) you will be now be able to quickly and efficiently generate money and sales on demand.

The reason is simple. Words whether written or spoken have the power to persuade and sell your product or service FAST! Learning how to write effective direct response copy will help you make money with ease.

4. Website: In the new millennium not having a website is like committing suicide! Yes it’s that bad. Now I’ve come across many clients that believed that they didn’t need a website to attract business because their business was ‘special’. Well these people ‘were’ very special because, even with a poorly performing website, their competition looked a heck of a lot better than them by giving a better impression to their prospects and clients! Not only that but despite their personal beliefs, they were leaving money on the table.

Bottom Line: Build a website using the first three secrets.

5. Marketing: Most people who start a business at home believe that there is some magic pill that they can take and WHAM instant business. Wrong! Despite what the “Gurus” would have you believe, if you’re serious about building your business then you have to take on the mindset of a CEO. How would the CEO of a major corporation think? Of course…they would focus on techniques used to attract and persuade consumers.

Not only that but, they would also focus on the process of planning and execution of their marketing concepts, pricing, promotion and distribution of products and services to satisfy their customers. Think of it as every element of your business that touches your customers. Seems complicated but guess what? With a website you can automate most of that and virtually sleep your way to riches!

6. Advertising: Now here’s an interesting thing that often gets confused with marketing. Advertising is just one element that is part of marketing. Using what you’ve learned in the previous secrets, you can dominate any niche or target market you choose! Yes, you don’t need a huge budget to advertise effectively IF you know how to write copy, persuade and leverage technology and a website.

There are so many types of advertising you can do from newspaper ads, classifieds, pay-per-click, contextual advertising, radio, podcasting, web video, magazine ads and more! Just because you’re a small business doesn’t mean you have to think small. Start on a small budget and grow.

7. Sales: You’re probably thinking, “Well I’m no sales person and I hate sales!” Well the fact of the matter is that I know you don’t believe that because if you’re working at a job or freelance right now, well, you’re selling yourself and your time for money. Seems a little, “Pretty Woman”-like don’t you think? (get my point?) Wouldn’t it be better if you were selling a product or service? Almost EVERYTHING in the world is sold.

Time, food, clothes, medicine, internet access, air…geez everything is! Now you probably work for a company that sells something too. Except you don’t really get the lion’s share of the profits right? Changing your perception of sales is the quickest way to change your life and your income as well. I know, because I’m living proof of it. A great book on that is, “How I Went From Failure To Success In Sales” by Frank Betger

8. BONUS Secrets! Self Educate and Set Goals! As you noticed I gave you some books to read and websites to visit. Well the two things that will tip the scales in your favor REALLY fast are, self educating yourself and finding mentors to guide you along the way to reaching your goals. Simple as that --

Now please understand that these are not all inclusive secrets but when you’re starting out in business for yourself, you need to start looking at these things differently. Changing your perception will change your reality at breakneck speed.

Shoot for the stars my friend!
